There is a "break" between head to chest and i am not able to do a smooth transition. I try to work around it by releasing tension in the back of the throat and sometimes it works but it seems sloppy. also when i use my jaw, which is not optimal and creates tension, i can somehow smoothen the transition
do you have recommendations on how to correctly solve this?
Thank you!

Hello!
I recommend trying out different vowels or a modified version of the vowel giving you trouble. For example, if you are "breaking" on the descending "EE" vowel, I'd try something closer to an IH as in SIT. You can even let the vowel morph from EE to IH to EH until you land at AH on the end of the exercise. An open vowel can be easier to access chest voice. Another option is to pause, try the exercise on something semi-closed (like a lip trill), and then try again on the syllables.
